It appears I have been remiss: I just noted John the Webster gave ME credit for the mug with the Wagner coat of arms. That was Gerri and Jim Oddone's contribution to the drawing. I was the cheapskate who brought a package of adobo mix and a jar of halo-halo goop. FACTOID: Emcee Harold Forster was allowed to draw the first name out of the hat, when we were giving away the door prizes. He lost that privilege when he DREW HIS OWN NAME and took the mug home. FACTOID #2: LLMoJo JoJay Kristol 77 and her beautiful daughter Emmy won both the food prizes. Jo won the Adobo mix and Emmy cringed when she saw what she had won. Her mother promised not to make her eat halo-halo! FACTOID #3: The cool jeepney donated by Rick Masterson came to him from a friend who recently visited the PI and knew Rick had gone to school there. That went home with Steve Montgomery who would not be plied with enough liquor to part with it. Dang! My biggest ommission is unforgivable: I forgot to thank Ace, Jo, Wendy and everyone else who worked so hard to plan this event. Planning is easy if you take the KJ way out and just find a place and tell everyone when and where to meet and leave them to their own devices. The Lompoc crew went above and beyond in planning dinner, hotel, entertainment and LUMPIA. Credit where credit is due. Ladies, give yourselves a pat on the back and a well-deserved drink! (Ace, Coke is fine.) kj82 |
