Ice Box Competition
The class participated in an "Ice
Box Competition." After learning about insulation, each student designed
and created a unique structure to see which designs and materials worked
best to keep the ice cubes solid for the longest time. Although all the
students were winners for their design and received ribbons, Ryan and
Kevin were two of the top winners, and Trey was our first place winner.
All of the students knew that insulation that trapped air was instrumental
in their design. Ryan used Rice Krispies and marshmallows inside
his box to trap the air.
