Gathering for lunch |
lifetime! Bill said that he understood the love that we had for each other - and had a hard time believing that I had just met Karen, Tony, Steve, Neil, Tony, and Kevin for the very first time in person this past week. (Although I already "knew" well before) He said he understood why I loved everyone the way I do. He even asked at the airport....now when is this San Diego reunion? :) I am a thinkin' he is planning to make more reunions in the future if he can work it out. :) It was time to come home -- the kids made a cake and were VERY ready for us to come home. Today, there were all kinds of messages on my desk, and on the board - and beanie babies the kids want me to keep. I am not a collector of beanie babies - but they won't know that. :) Thank you SOOO much my California family. I wouldn't have missed this past week for the world - words can't express my feelings for each and every one of you. Now....I have to go back to paying for the red bell peppers again. :) San Diego 2000 - here I come!!!!!!! Gaye74 Gaye and all, I kinda sensed that Bill was uncomfortable/unsure when we first gathered together on Friday. But, by the time you folks left yesterday, I saw him talking to folks more openly and smiling quite often. On Saturday, while you folks were picking up Dary, I spoke with him for about fifteen minutes - more than he and I ever spoke the months we knew of each other in the PI. Please tell him I look forward to spending more time with him at our 2000 reunion. Belden 75 |
