Diane - it's a beautiful thing!! These reunions. And to think that up until one year ago, I had not heard ANYTHING from Wagner!!! Seems the whole world has come alive. New and exciting. Friends to be reacquainted with. New people to meet. So very warm and fuzzy. Thank you!!! I'll plan on attending all that are possible. Susan DiBartolo '73 That's the spirt Susan---I also plan on attending every reunion that I possibly can. I was the OLDEST one at the Colorado Springs Reunion (the youngsters were very sweet to invite us old folks) but felt among friends. Hearing about the experiences of others who were at Clark in the years after me, seeing their photos and memorabilia, and sharing in the pure joy of the experience was fantastic! I was "found" just about 1 month prior to the reunion and wasted no time in planning on attending the COS reunion! Many more of my classmates have been found in this past year and I, of course, cannot wait to see them. It will be the first time in 39-40 years we have seen each other. But I also look forward to meeting all the friends I have made from the other classes. It is going to be one heckuva party!! Look forward to meeting you---and IOU a drink too at the Mabuhay Party Friday night! See you in Charleston! Jean Whitman (59) Brown You are on!! Gaye 74 |

Cheryl '59 I've been trying to get Becky Char '65 (my FL) to wear her skirt with those brown and white shoes (what were they called?-like the old Buster Brown shoes- "...you got shoes, I got shoes, everybody's gotta have shoes...but there's only one kinda shoes for me....good 'ol Buster Brown shoes...") and bobby socks to the Saturday night sock hop at CHAS '98. Add one of those neat scarves too. It's either that or I'll have to wear the Polynesian stuff. You know, those real bright printed Hawaiian shirts. I told her to forget the Tongan war dress though. My choice would be a black t-shirt and blue jeans, but Becky didn't like it then and she probably wouldn't like it now. Becky still has lots of her clothing from those days. How about a best era dress contest for CHAS? John '65 What's funny about all this is that my youngest daughter (24) and her boy friend are late 50's and 60's garu's and just went to Las Vegas for a get together of all the fanatics about this period. She dresses in old style clothes and listens to Elvis and all the artists that I like. She is a clothing designer in LA and tells me that all of these designs are coming back. Chuck Jones 61 John P! Those shoes were called (I think) saddle oxfords not sure why maybe for those brown and white horses? If you wear black tee best stay inside in air conditioning, Chas will be cookin. Of course some of us women will probably be in black for another reason, tricks the mind somehow.. Cheryl '59 |
