marry him. No answer from DiBart in Austin. However, in Chas, DiBart brought
a huge cookie with the word 'YES' written in frosting. WebGuy '65 and DiBart
'73 are now engaged! (And the answer was all captured on film by The Learning
Channel).
(Gads, whuts the wurld comin too?:) oh well, what can i say? ...cept congrats, folks! Alright, i propose something too - how bout a cybur-weddin'?. It can be something like your live cam at Chas - just bring the cable this time;). MW '70
We are so excited for you guys and want to know is there a date planned yet?? We need to have a big party somehow to celebrate your happiness....... What a secret this was! We had no clue at the reunion so ya'll did a good job in keeping this surprise quiet. :) The Learning Channel crew definitely got enough "special" footage for our reunion segment for sure. (you must have felt very connected with this film crew John since you were with them for so long) they definitely need to be invited to the wedding) :) Congratulations to you both again. You absolutely outdid yourself - EVERYTHING was superb. We had such a wonderful time. I couldn't imagine all the work that went into organizing one of these huge events until I saw you in action once we got there and after we saw all the things you had done. The hotel, the tours, the hospitality suite, the display room, the band with Lloyd and his friends on Friday and the munchies and then the excellent lumpia party before the dinner/dance on Saturday, the excellent dinner buffet Saturday night, the great bar and the unbelievable experience of having an entire aircraft carrier at our disposal on Saturday night. Your photographer was excellent and please pass on our appreciation to him as well. It was unbelievable and we appreciate everything. Special thanks also go out to Tom Sellers for all his shuttling to and from the airport and for his special presentation aboard the Yorktown for the spouses. Thanks to Donna and Roger for maintaining the excellent hospitality suite and to Barbara Long, Ardis, DeeAnna and Vicki, Jay and several others who helped maintain the sign-in and badge station. I know that Becky Char's early arrival was a big help to you as well for lot's of behind the scenes stuff. :) Ruth and Jim Kent, thanks so much for hauling all the directories around and of course for putting it together Ruth, distributing the ballots to everyone and for doing the T-shirts. This project in itself was huge and we appreciate it you guys. Dianne, please express our appreciation to your hubby Lloyd for his help as well; he's a wonderful person, I know he did a lot of things that were behind the scenes, thanks Lloyd. Now you take it easy lady, prop those feet up and relax for a few days. (more later) Love ya and Linda says hi, she had a wonderful time as well. :) Ron Bonner '65 (61-63)

It was so neat meeting you and Alex and we are so glad were able to come. See Woody, the ancient ones really do stay up past the news/weather. :) Thanks for helping out while you were there too. Alex really had a great time with the TV crew. I think they sort of adopted him as did many other folks. Ron Bonner '65 (61-63) |
