Charleston!
Oh, you guys!!!!!!!! You missed it!!! The ancient ones taught us "younguns" a thing or two!!! Of course, security was never called, no one was kidnapped, and I still have Jim Cook's clothing. Hmmmmmmm What a warm and loving group of people!!! I am glad to be associated with all of them.

There were a few of us "babies" there. Me, my sister, Salli DiBartolo '77, Ardis Ferguson '75, Jenny Cranfill '80, Gaye Perkins '74, Woody '85, and Gary McClelland '75. For the MOST part, we were very well behaved. All except GAYE!!!! You know what they say about paybacks. . . My shoes are stillllllll wet!!!!!

It was great to meet the faces that go with the names of those who post and chat. Too much fun!!! Great party aboard the USS Yorktown ---- EXCEPT. . . It was sooooo HOT!!!!!!! But great fun!!!

And then there was this morning. . . . . . . . . . <SIGH>

well, I'm sure something will be said, so I'll leave you all in limbo. . .

Great to see Mike Henderson'74 this morning and Don Quigley '74 on Friday afternoon.

One more time, , , I have to say "We have allllll aged sooooo gracefully!!!"

more to come.

Susan DiBartolo '73

WW: Susan, how about the t-shirt?...<g>

<< . . . And then there was this morning. . . . . . . . . . <SIGH>

WW: about that......CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the very best to the 2 of you! you compliment each other well!!

Susan, I didn't get an opportunity to say goodbye........so, goodbye.......was a pleasure meeting you........i intend to post a few lines about the trip, myself, but am trying to collect my thoughts!

woody85

I though we left all those (thoughts) by the poolside at 5am Sunday morning.

Gary McClellan '75

trying to tell me something, Gary? <g>...........Thank you sooooooo much, again......for putting me and Alex up!....or should that read......putting up with me and Alex!!! You were a sweetheart!.......Alex wants to know when will he see "Daddy" again........???

>VJ: aren't you thinking that the weekend can be summarized with the words:
>Ben Gay ;-) ? after they detox and recover, i'm sure we'll be hit with the
>post-reunion afterglow, thousands of "i love you guys" posts...... hee hee.
>but they have been unusually quiet haven't they?
>rosalie yuponce 68

Rosalie Honey, you spelled it wrong! We "been gay" and happy and crazy and grateful and all that afterglow flow. Sure wish you'd been there. We're old but we ain't dull! Experience counts! Love,

Ba-Ba da Beautiful
<< We were having a lot of fun, although not quite as much fun as Prunier, who was being photographed all night with one of the Char sisters. Being our usual resourceful selves, some of us necked on the beach & some of us looked at Jerry's feelthy peectures, drank beer, and burped. Now the weird thing is, when I got back home I had a cowboy hat & a tatoo. No, I have absolutely no clue, but I think they were both a gift of some sort. Maybe a thank-you gift??? C'mon, Steve, get me out of this!

Barb'59 >>

yeehaw... the tattoo wouldn't be a prog in serape would it? and the location would be? want to see pictures please.

rosalie 68

No, it's a plower. It's around my navel. An' I ain't takin' no stinkin' peelthy peectures. {Rosalie, we had so much fun. Even the kids of the younger classes couldn't resist the music. There was one vato there who could dance like a dream. I felt wildly wicked, but one of the spouses posted me that he was impressed with how "wholesome" we were. THAT really flattened my tires.}

We're Home!
Hi, Guys!

I'm sitting in my hotel room in Charleston and had to reconnect before we leave! I don't want to miss any mail! Last night (Sun) Carmen & Tom, Babs, and Mary Lou & John and Gene and I went to dinner together. Had a wonderful Charleston-style dinner and got caught in a terrific thunderstorm on the way back! We all said it was easier saying "See you soon" to each of you as you left gradually through the day. Judy Mayo left at 4:00 and then Angie and George at 5:00. Babs will be the last to leave as she doesn't leave until 5:30 today.

What pure, unadulterated joy this weekend has been! Our class photos show the joy in our smiles! I love you all and look forward to our the next time we can hug. In the meantime, don't forget to write!

Barb - please put your Reunion poems on line for everyone to read. The one you read to us upon arrival and the one you read when leaving. I know you are going to be extremely busy with your move to Ft. Worth, but I know everyone would love to have your poems and especially those who weren't there to hear them.

Shari - I hope you felt better for your trip home. I am so sorry you were ill, but hope you had a great time in spite of it! Will have to give you an extra hug next time I see you to make up for our missed hug when you left.

Cheryl - I have your "Where Are You" poster and will take it home with me. Let me know what you would like me to do with it. Dianne Senn suggested we keep it and mark off any as they are found and bring it to future reunions. ..sort of a working document!

Must pack and hit the road again. Will be home by tonight around 8:00. Have already re-subscribed to wagner and teenclub so I don't miss any mail there from today! (Who, me, addicted?)

Love to all,

Jean '59

Well you old alumnus, you! Addicted, huh? Don't know what the rest of us call it! And to think one of the spouses called us "wholesome".

Barb (go ahead--pull my finger)'59

Hi Gang:

I could not get any flight out of Charleston unless I left at 0600 am and made connections in Charlotte to Phoenix. I did not get the chance to really say bye to all of you class mates and I wonder if that was by design or because of the hour. I have a feeling it was a little of both--I hate good-byes and have been saying them all my life and still remember saying good-bye to close friends when I had to leave the PI and Rick and I swore when we were settled we would never say that word again. The French say Avoir (until we meet again) instead of Adieu (good-bye). Remember to look me up when in Phoenix

Love

Chuck Jones '61

I don't remember you personally, but saw you at the reunion & of course I read your posts. You really look to be in magnificent shape! Which brings me to my point: I feel as if you would have jumped in to save any of our butts if you saw us being mugged or clubbed, etc. But you wouldn't want to say good-by. The only way I could fortify myself to say good-by was by bringing my teddy bear (Ringo) and saying good-by in bunches. If I had had to say good-by to Cheryl or Jean, Carmen or Angie, Butch or Steve, Emily, Mary Lou, DeLoy, Shari, Marlene, Lani, Donna, Judy, or any of the other alumni one-on-one, I would have ducked. Thanks for being honest. Most of us don't cop to it when we do something we're not sure we could be proud of. P.S. Ringo has decided to go to karate-bear school & get back in shape. Thanks a bunch for being such a good example.

Barb'59

Oh I almost forgot in my previous post that I got to dance with Loni Strawbridge who was one of the prettiest girls at Clark but also the girl friend of one of my good friends Bill Lathum so I didn't get to dance with her in High School -LOL remember we didn't dance with our friends girl friends in those days. I wouldn't for get Babs for a long time and look forward to seeing her and her husband when I am in Portland.

see ya all soon
